Webfonepartners.net, Inc. (WFP) today entered into a non-exclusive license agreement for PortaOne’s industry leading PortaSwitch and PortaSIP IP soft switch and application server platform. PortaSwitch is a software-based communication services and subscriber management platform allowing modern communication network providers to unify voice, data and fax traffic within a single network. PortaSIP is a call control software package that enables service providers to build scalable, reliable VoIP networks.

For Webfonepartners, the action is the most recent in a series of moves that have bolstered its IP-in-a-Box™ VoIP Reseller programs. The new SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) platform compliments the existing H323 product line while adding a complete suite of enhanced services not previously offered. While the H323 platform handles IP voice very capably, the SIP initiative includes enhanced features such as voicemail, class 5 features, unified messaging and a dynamic rating engine that handles every imaginable rating configuration. In addition, PortaSIP enables WFP resellers to offer a complete IP PBX business solution to multi-location International commercial accounts.

WFP anticipates the PortaSwitch platform will be fully integrated into the company’s new One Wilshire co-location facilities by December 1, 2005 and targets a January 1, 2006 launch date of the new enhanced reseller service offerings.
